About Book

Book Description
A reprint of the 1922 Great War Classic. Frederick Scott was a Chaplain in the 1st Canadian Division and served with them from Valcartier in 1914 until he was wounded at Cambrai in September 1918. The Canon became the spirit of the Canadain Corps, and no one man came to embody the heart and soul of "his boys" more than the irrepressible Padre. His accounts of seraching for his fallen son's body on the Somme, and the final hours before the execution of CQMS Alexander remain two of the most powerful written episodes about the First World War.
