This first Volume is devoted to the oldest period of Indian Philosophy from the begging to the end of the first millennium after Christ. It embraces the philosophy of the Veda and the epic, the Buddha and Jina, the Sankhya and the classical Yoga system. Volume II sets forth the presentation of the nature--philosophical schools--the Vaisesika and Jaina systems and the systems of Lokayatas, Kautilya and other materialist.
