About Book
Book Description
1930. The story of Enos' search for gold with the hope of returning with his pockets full of gold and making Ellen his wife. And it was for Ellen that he kept a journal. He was an observer, a reporter, with an urge to write fostered by his training in the Record office. When he returned to Pennsylvania and preserved it in an old tin box until the day it was uncovered. Enos was not a famous man, but he and Ellen and Prizer tell a story of the historic and romantic period in which they lived, faithfully from the point of view of their own generation.
