About Book

Book Description
H.M. Tomlinson was a war correspondent in World War I. Before that, he worked the docks that he writes about in London River. Though he is known for his hatred of war, he also had a love of travel, the sea and England.

London River is a collection of essays about life along the Thames and the docks in East London. It is an important work because the area that he wrote about was destroyed during the Blitz irrevocably changing the area forever.
