About Book

Book Description
Knowledge of the Higher Worlds and its Attainment is a publication authored by Rudolf Steiner. This title focuses on Steiner's belief of the importance of studying and understanding higher worlds and includes on how to attain knowledge from higher worlds, esoteric training, transforming dream life, consciousness and spiritual training. This is an excellent book for those who are interested in such studies as outlined above and also for those who are interested in the beliefs and new age ideas made popular in the early 20th century by Rudolf Steiner.

From the Publisher
Anthroposophic Press offers more than 1,000 books by Rudolf Steiner and related authors, exploring the philosophy behind spiritual science and the many fields it has inspired, including education, agriculture, science, medicine, family life, children's books, and the arts.

From the Author
Not everyone can immediately achieve spiritual vision; but the discoveries of those who have it can be health-giving life nourishment for all. The results of supersensible knowledge, when properly employed in life, prove to be not impractical but, rather, practical in the highest sense....

The acquisition of higher knowledge is not the end, but the means to an end; the end consists in the attainment, thanks to this knowledge, of greater and truer self-confidence, a higher degree of courage, and a magnanimity and perserverance such as cannot, as a rule, be acquired in the lower world.

About the Author
RUDOLF STEINER was born in Austria in 1861. He became a respected and well-published scientific, literary, and philosophical scholar, known especially for his commentary on Goethe's scientific writings, which formed much of the basis for "anthroposophy," the science of spiritual knowledge that Steiner went on to develop throughout the beginning of the twentieth century until his death in 1925. His multi-faceted genius led to innovations in medicine, education (Waldorf), special education, and various areas of the arts. In 1924, he established the General Anthroposophical Society in Dornach, Switzerland, which today has branches throughout the world.
